Scott Caan

Scott Caan obviously gets his toughness and muscular masculine attitude from his father James Caan, who was the touch guy in the classics "The Godfather" (he's also appeared in Mickey Blue Eyes as the tough strict father -isn't it ironic? dontcha think?-). He obviously gets his great looks from his mother, Sheila Ryan, who is an actress as well as a supermodel.

While pursuing in the world of sports (under his father's orders), he stumbled across a rap group, "Whooliganz" (1994?). A directer also stumbled across Scott and asked him to try out for an audition in a movie (A boy called Hate). He did it and made the role. He thought it would be easy, but the movie was a bomb. Scott recognize his instant love for the movies and decided to enroll in Playhouse West in LA.

But let's backtrack a bit into Scott's past. He was born in 1977 by Sheila and James. His parents divorced when he was one, Scott was often found shuttling back and forth between in the mom and pop. His father's attitude toward child raising was once of violence.

Even when they were just playing games, it was still agressive. "My dad fucked up my nose once," Scott Caan admits. "We used to play this game: I'd try to hit him in the face, and he'd drill me with little jabs. Ding. Ding. Ding."

But does Scott hate his dad? Of course not! With a smile, Scott says, "To this day, if we arm wrestle, someone's arm is going to break - you know what I mean? Aside from the things he did that were bad - everybody makes mistakes - he's a solid dad. I was raised right. I dig who I am."

Scott Caan was also quite the troublemaker back in his teen days, too. Smoking pot, graffiti on the school walls, drinking... it's all in the past now. Scott says, "I was the bad kid in school. I was usually in trouble. I'd get suspended for fighting, for graffiti, for smoking pot. And I learned that it's not worth it."

In school Scott planned to be a pro athelete, "but I started hanging out with my friends and didn't want to go to school. If you don't go to school, you can't play sports."

Apparently, things worked out for the better as he has learned his ways. Except in 1998 he was Arrested in West Hollywoood, CA after a bar brawl. "I've learned NEVER to fight in public again."

Now, learning his lessons, Scott is on a roll. He has been in many popular films, see Scott's Resume. His idols include all the "tough guys": Marlon Brando, Sean Penn, Robert Di Nero, and of course, Al Pacino.

"They weren't waify, skinny little pretty boys." Scott says, talking about Al Pacino and others. "In Hollywood today, it's cool for guys to wear nail polish and earrings in their lips and tongues. I don't get it. It's like wearing dresses. Men should have rough hands and be strong."

Masculine, muscular, good-looking, and loads of charisma, Scott Caan is sure to suceed in the movie industry. ImB has been quoted saying, "Scott Caan is one of the best of the current crop of second-generation actors."
